Celebrated award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o continues to make headlines across the globe with her new 2018 mega project. The 2014 Oscar Best Supporting Actress will star in an upcoming movie alongside South Africa’s king of stand-up comedy and TV host Trevor Noah.
The movie is an adaptation of the comedian’s autobiography, Born A Crime and we have learnt that the 34-year-old Mexican-Kenyan will play Trevor’s mother in her new upcoming acting role. The excited Lupita announced her new project on social media on Wednesday, February,21.
“When I read TrevorNoah’s “Born A Crime,” I could not put the book down. Excited to announce that I will be starring in and producing its feature film adaptation! BornACrime,”
Lupita said on Instagram.
The movie star is currently promoting a nearly-all black cast, Black Panther which also features her plus a couple of other black acts premiered in Kisumu.
Published in 2016, Born A Crime is a comic and personal account of Trevor’s childhood days in post-apartheid South Africa.
