Irene Ntale’s first ever live show in Rwanda breaks attendance record, and she dedicates her success to fallen singer Mowzey Radio.
The 8th edition of the Kigali Jazz Junction show took place at Kigali Serena Hotel on Friday 23rd. There were a couple of curtain raising performances from African acts including Jules Sentore and the Neptunez Band. The biggest performer on the night was Uganda’s ‘stamina mummy’ who was the headlining performer.
The venue was filled to capacity despite it being a corporate event, and going by numbers she just might have broken the record for the biggest crowd held by a Ugandan artiste in Kigali. She came on stage and performed many of her songs in a one and a half hours performance. It being her first show, this is a big statement to her career and a boost to the start of 2018.
The biggest segment of her performance was the Mowzey Radio Tribute where she performed some of his songs. Ntale, together with the crowd, emotionally sang along to Radio’s songs. She ended the segment by dedicating her success to Mowzey saying he was such an inspiration in her career.
