The story that has been on everybody’s lips for the entire February has been about the death of singer Mowzey Radio. The state has vowed to pursue the case until the end and they promise they will get justice for Radio’s family, friends and fans.
Ms. Mary Kaitesi who presided over The Chief Magistrate’s court on Monday further remanded Mr Godfrey Wamala, alias Troy the main suspect in the death of singer Moses Sekibogo Nakintije aka Mowzey Radio. Troy who was again not allowed to take plea since the charges against him are grave in nature and can only be heard by the High Court was sent back to Kigo Government Prison where he’s on remand until 19th March when he will return to court for further mention of the case.
State Prosecutor Mr. Julius Tuhairwe told the fully packed court, with relatives and fans of the deceased singer, that investigations into his death were still going on and that they will get to the bottom of the issue.
Fans on different platforms have been showing dissatisfaction in the way this case has been handled and they are quick to always mention that ‘justice delayed is justice denied’, but the state has made it clear that sometimes these cases take time as thorough investigations are done. But since the key suspect, Godfrey ‘Troy‘ Wamala, is behind bars they should be assured that the case is still being pursued and any findings will always be communicated in the most appropriate way at the right time.
We all need justice for Radio, don’t we?
