UK based actor Daniel Kaluuya who is of Ugandan origin will have to tussle it out and beat America’s finest Denzel Washington to become the first actor internationally with the Pearl of Africa origin to scoop an Oscar.
The 28 year old who was nominated for an Oscar Award as Best Actor for his role in the hit horror film Get Out, still faces a strong competition from fellow partners in crime to beat mention Denzel Washington, Daniel Day-Lewis, Gary Oldman and Timothee Chalamet if he is to make Ugandans proud.
Well the wait is no more since this Sunday, 4th March 2018 Hollywood’s brightest stars will be celebrated for the masterful performances that made us laugh, cry and challenge the way we view the world and our very own Musoga born will be rubbing shoulders with with other stars.
The 2018 Oscars telecast begins 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT only on ABC Television however the ceremony will be available for live streaming through ABC Go and the ABC app. Additionally, subscription-based services like YouTube TV, Sling TV, DirecTV and Playstation Vue will also stream the Oscars through ABC. For pop culture fanatics with Hulu, the ceremony will be available to stream one day later.
And of course the late night funny man Jimmy Kimemel returns as the evening’s emcee for a second consecutive year.
