NBS TV presenter and singer Tuff B, was involved in a nasty accident when his car was crashed into by another car at Jinja Road traffic lights in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

While heading home towards Kibuli side at around 3am on Sunday morning, Tuff B’s car (Peugeot, registration number UAZ 407J) was ran into by another car, a FUSO fighter in make that was speeding Nakawa bound. This happened at the Jinja Road traffic lights junction. Tuff B was in company of three other friends driving across the intersection when they heard a loud bang on the driver’s side of the car. Pieces of shattered glass fell on the tarmac loudly in the silent night, and you could easily hear the sound of screeching tyres that put both cars to a halt. Both cars, now facing towards the Airtel roundabout, were immediately surrounded by passersby and motorists who thought the people in the smaller car (Peugeot) were badly hurt depending on the magnitude of damage on Tuff B’s car. Fortunately however, all people were fine, safe and sound, and they made their way out of the wreckage unharmed. Police was quick to arrive at the scene and a breakdown towed away Tuff B’s car to the side of the road.

Tuff B’s car was badly hit.

The cause of this accident was however blamed on the dysfunctional Jinja Road traffic lights which usually stop functioning at midnight. Tuff B, who was driving, says the accident would not have occurred if the traffic lights were functioning because both drivers were not properly guided by the traffic lights. Both cars were towed away to Central Police Station where both drivers reported to see a way through this.

Tuff B has been planning big music projects this year and actually earlier yesterday he made final touches to his new song produced by Eno Beats, and a brand new video that was expected to be released later today.

Such a dump in the ‘Kimonde’ singer’s plans, but we are glad he is alive and fine, and will surely pick up the pieces and keep the music alive.
