Well the eyes of Ugandans will be on the 6kg, 37cm golden masterpiece that’s the FIFA World Cup trophy. After traversing 49 cities in 34 countries around the globe, the FIFA World Cup trophy is once again back in Uganda. It was first here nine years ago in the lead up to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The World Cup is a gold trophy that is awarded to the winners of the FIFA World Cup association football tournament.
Since the advent of the World Cup in 1930, two trophies have been used: the Jules Rimet Trophy from 1930 to 1970, and the FIFA World Cup Trophy from 1974 to the present day.
It will be at Lugogo Cricket Oval for Public Viewing tomorrow.
