One of Uganda’s best music producers, Rinex, is worryingly ill and he was rushed to India to seek improved world class medical attention. Rinex underwent surgery but still battles to make a full recovery.

Rinex, real names Unegiu Micheal, is a music producer who has worked with many top artistes in Uganda, and some really big names from other East African countries. Some of those include Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine, Tanzania’s AY, Kalifah Aganaga, Jose Chameleone whose current hit songs ‘Champion‘ and ‘Mateeka‘ were produced by the ill producer, Desire Luzinda, among other artistes. Rinex is the owner of Power Records, a recording studio that has mastered the art of dancehall music in East Africa.

Sources close to the singer indicate that he is battling a liver problem and it is the reason he was flown out of the country to India which is known to have better medical facilities that deal with problems concerning ailing body organs.

The producer has been planning a major comeback on the active music scene and for that he had acquired some really big singer gracing his music studios for recording sessions. However, we have not heard anything from the artistes he has worked with wishing him well or helping him in any way. We do not have to wait for another car-wash event, let us lend a hand as soon as we can and save one of the best talent.

We hope to see him up and well again.

Get well soon Rinex!
