Local singer Barbi Jay, real names Julius Buyinza, was nabbed by the night shift Police Patrol allegedly having sex in a car last night in Mengo. The singer whose wife gave birth on March 2nd was caught with another woman in a Mark II vehicle.
As it is, in and around Kampala areas, Police always sends out its patrol cars to ensure security is tightened and to protect people from any wrong doers. It is also the police’s roles to make sure road users respect traffic rules during the night. Last night drama ensued in Mengo near the FUFA house when on one of their patrolling shifts, police were tipped off by passersby about a Mark II car which was poorly parked by the side of the road, and vigorously shaking. Police picked interest to find out why the car was shaking. On reaching the car, the occupants realized trouble had befell them and they tried to immediately leave but it was too late since police had already surrounded them leaving them no opportunity of escape. This paralyzed the flow of traffic on the road.
To the surprise of onlookers and police itself, the car was being occupied by local singer Barbi Jay, and an unidentified woman. It is said that the two were engaging in sexual activities which actually must have been the reason the car was vigorously shaking. The two first resisted arrest and refused to leave the car saying there was no case against them and there is nothing wrong they had done. Police however used its tactics and Barbi Jay together with the mysterious woman were smoked out of the car.
Now dressed in a short and shirtless, Barbi Jay tried to explain to the police that he was only parked besides the road waiting for a friend who he was going to perform with somewhere at a concert, and since it was hot in the car he decided to put off his shirt as they waited for their friend. Police refuted these claims because at the time they arrived, the woman as well was half naked and only tried to dress up after the two were caught red-handed.
The two were arrested and whisked away by police from the growing crowd of onlookers, and they were taken to the Rubaga police station for further questioning. Barbie Jay and the woman were later charged with a case of having sex in public and a police file number SD/REF:08/10/03/2018 was opened before they were locked up in the police cells.
