Three men were arrested and charged by Police for impersonating trending female singer Spice Diana. The three have been using the singer’s name to get money from people.

Ever since she sprung to fame, Spice Diana a.k.a Namukwaaya Hajara, has faced her fair share of controversies and most were self inflicted. Others however, have been an effect of malice to people around her, and the most recent one is of people who extort money from other people using her name.

Spice Diana.

The three who were nabbed have been using Spice Diana’s number for a sim-card that she misplaced. Spice Diana says that there is one of her old sim-cards that she lost and she did not report to police since, at the time, she was a little too busy. She ignored it and bought another one without officially making a report at police. It is this number that the three men have been using to get money from music promoters and other people, claiming to be Spice Diana’s managers.

Their luck ran out however when they called Spice Diana’s real manager, Ronnie Lubega, in pursuit to offer a business deal. When Ronnie crosschecked, he realized it is the same number that Spice Diana had lost and he straight away reported to Police which acted quickly to nab the conmen, who were arrested in Nabweru.

The three were charged with theft and impersonation and a case file number SD ref: 57/02/03/2018.
