Juliana in a studio in Kenya.

Juliana Kanyomozi is back in studio and she is set to unleash new hits this year. She hit a studio in Kenya to record some of her song as she plans on yet another major hit for her East African audience.

Legendary songstress Juliana has recorded hits from many studios around East Africa. He has recorded songs with many East African artistes. Some of her biggest songs of her career have been collabos with non-Ugandans. Major hits like ‘Hatu Rudi‘ featuring Burundian Kidumu, ‘Usiende‘ featuring Bushoke a Tanzanian, ‘Mpita Njia‘ featuring Alicios a Congolese Kenyan based female artiste, among others have seen Juliana collaborate with artistes from other East African countries and hence exposed her beyond the confined Ugandan borders.

Juliana has been a household name since breaking out actively on the music scene in the late 1990s while still with fellow singer Irene Namubiru forming the I-Jay all-girl duo. Since then, she has released numerous hits that have generated her various fans across the world. Her biggest criticism from music analysts has however always been consistency as regards how many songs she releases each year. Some felt like she was not giving enough for her fans to consume. But Juliana has used that same criticism as her strength in that each time she releases a new song, her already hungry fans are always eager to consume and fully digest her music products.

The sweet voiced songstress released some major hits last year, and she is up and about planning to do the same this year. This time however she has hit Kenyan studios to record her new songs. This has not been easily perceived by Ugandan producers who feel like Juliana has abandoned them, but she insists she just wants to change a few things about the production and style of her music this year.
