Singer Jose Chameleone, real names Joseph Mayanja, is the most famous amongst the Mayanja family. The family that is comprised of many members in the limelight including singers Pallaso and Weasel, lost their youngest brother Emmanuel Mayanja Mulindwa a.k.a AK47 on the night of 16th March 2015. AK47 died in the restrooms of the Dejavu (now re-branded ‘The Dawn Bar and lounge’) and the circumstances surrounding his death have since been unclear despite efforts from family and fans who tried to get to the bottom of what might led to their star’s death.
Today (16th March 2018) marked three years since the death of AK47, and social media was filled with “Rest In Peace AK47” messages from his fans and friends. Many celebrities remembered to commemorate the day in respect to AK47 with many posting pictures they took with the fallen artiste back in his good days on earth.
Elder brothers, Jose Chameleone, and Weasel visited AK47’s final resting place in Mityana and dug around AK47’s grave to show respect for their fallen brother. Chameleone in company of his two sons Abba and Alfa, and backup singer Dennis Lama, spent the afternoon in Mityana. Weasel too, in company of his manager Sterio Ness, visited his late brother’s grave.
