DJ Kalonje has set up a brand new studio after his old studio was demolished when hired goons demolished the house where his former studio was located.

Famous Kenyan deejay, DJ Kalonje real names George Waweru, is back on his feet after hired goons demolished the house where his studio was based over three months ago. The celebrated deejay has now set up a new big studio in Pangani.

Months ago, in December, armed goons attacked a house belonging to DJ Kalonje’s father with instructions to demolish the building in Eastleigh, Kenya. The goons threatened, harassed and evicted the occupants of the house without prior notice. They went ahead and demolished the building where DJ Kalonje’s old studio was based.

It is over three months now and, even before he is compensated, DJ Kalonje has opened a new expensive music studio in Pangani. When approached, the DJ stated that he has not been compensated for the losses he incurred during the demolition and the matter is still in court.

In his own words, DJ Kalonje said;

“I have partnered with DJ Carlos to open a new studio in Pangani. I am basically starting over after I lost my 10-year investment in Eastleigh. I have not yet been compensated and the matter is still in court. I have used over Sh 500,000. The fifth hearing is scheduled for April.”

We hope he gets compensated for the losses.
