Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz wishes to have been born in Kenya rather than in his country Tanzania. He stated his reasons why he feels he would be much more successful in Kenya than he is in Tanzania.

In his opinion, Diamond Platnumz believes Kenyan artistes are far better placed to succeed than their counterparts in Tanzania. He believes, as a Kenyan, he would have achieved way more than he already has being a Tanzanian.

Nigeria, with a population of 186 million people, has been Africa’s number one country as regards internet traffic. It was however toppled by Kenya, and it is the reason why Diamond Platnumz believes Kenyan artistes have an upper hand to sell their music online, than their counterparts in Tanzania and Uganda who still have their songs being sold on CDs on the city streets.

The ‘Hallelujah’ singer says Kenyan artistes have all the necessary resources to make it big on the international music market, stating that numbers do not lie and these numbers favor Kenya as a nation. It is for this reason that since this year began, Diamond has concentrated his efforts in popularizing his music in Kenya. Last week he launched his new album in Kenya.

Diamond while speaking to journalists in Kenya also said he wishes he was born in Kenya because the country is blessed with the resources he would need as an artiste to achieve greater things in his music career.

Could this be one of the many reasons why Diamond chose to premiere his new album ‘A Boy From Tandale‘ in Kenya? Maybe!
