Singer Peter Miles has been handed a deal by the UN (United Nations) to help in the evacuation of refugees from Congo to refugee settlement camps.

The dancehall singer has been away from the active music scene for a while, doing a song or none in the past few years, but he is really up to some really huge business deals. His latest song that we could remember is the ‘Push Back’ song with Cindy and Nigerian artiste Ketch Up.

Away from the music business, Peter Miles is a businessman who has ventured his fortune into a luxury boats business under his own company called the ‘Miles Marines‘. The boats are used for luxurious activities on Lake Victoria, boat cruises, and also transportation of other forms.

One of the luxury boats Peter Miles owns.

The Miles Marines company has now landed a deal with the International Organisation for Migration (I.O.M), a United Nations body, to transport Congolese refugees safely on Lake Albert to the refugee camps in Uganda due to the harsh political situation in Congo.

Peter Miles broke the good news on his Facebook page, he wrote;

“MILES MARINES in partnership with UNITED NATIONS body I.O.M (International Organisation for Migration) is proud to be part of the evacuation of Congolese refugees safely to the refugee camp. Many times these refugees have lost their lives drowning in Lake Albert due to overloading of wooden canoe boats trying to escape the insurgency in Congo. MILES MARINES is dedicated to provide them with safe transportation across Lake Albert. LET’S MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR HUMANITY”

This is big business for the dancehall singer and we wish him the very best in his endeavors.
