Radio and Weasel have issued a notice with strong warnings barring the public against infringement of the musical works of the late Moses Ssekibogo a.k.a Mowzey Radio. They pledge to sue anyone who reproduces Radios copyrighted music content.
This comes after many music producers, artistes and members of the public have continuously reproduced, and used Radio Mowzey’s music without acquiring the lawful permission from the concerned owners of the late singers copyrighted content.
Radio an Weasel as a company accessed full rights to any content they produced. That includes all songs, videos, writings, and any other form of music content that the late Mowzey Radio ever produced. All rights for the usage and reproduction of these songs belong to Radio and Weasel as an independent company.
Ever since Mowzey Radio died, many artistes have been releasing songs in memory of him. Some of these songs contain Mowzey Radio’s voice, lyrics, and instrumentals from his past music. It has been also discovered that some of Radio’s songs that were released after his death were wrongfully released by the producers who had stored them for later date releases according to Mowzey Radio’s plans.
It is due to the above effects that Radio and Weasel contacted the services of Katende, Ssempebwa & Co. Advocates to put in writing a formal statement restricting any other form of reproduction of Radio’s music.
Radio and Weasel posted the formal document on their social media platforms, with the caption;
Enough is Enough! Notice to all our upcoming and staggering artists, producers and the Media Houses at large. Please Stand Warned! Let’s respect the brand, let’s respect Radio & Weasel’s work. #GoodOverEvil. MANAGEMENT!
