Many women will be heartbroken by the end of today. The reason is simple Ali Kiba is off the radar, single no more. The sensational Bongo Flava artiste finally married his longtime fiancee Amina Khalef in an invite-only ceremony held in Mombasa earlier on today.

The couple have been together for quite a while and today they made their relationship official first with the Nikkah, a muslim tradition where a man goes to the mosque to say his vows. This was carried out at Masjid Ummul Kulthum mosque. It was attended by a couple of Mombasa politicians including Governor Hassan Joho.

The ‘Aje’ singer was accompanied by his best man, younger brother Abdu Kiba. Ali Kiba was dressed in a black gown, a turban and a dagger – a custom for most Swahili weddings. He said his vows as directed by Shiekh Mohammed Kagera who officiated the marriage.

The two walked down the aisle’ at Diamond Jubilee hall in Kongowea in a women-only event as per Swahili traditions, and the reception at Joho’s mansion in Vipingo Ridge, Kilifi.

The parents of Amina were pleased by Ali Kiba’s move and they could not hide their excitement. Amina’s mother had this to say;

Mr Joho is our family friend, I brought him up and assisted him in his campaigns and that’s how we grew closer. When my daughter told me about a man who had fallen in love with her, I inquired. When I knew Mr Joho was involved I blessed the union. But when I realized that it was God ordained, I blessed the two. Alikiba is a good, responsible and disciplined man. I wish them the best. My daughter is happy and in love.

Conratulations Ali Kiba!
