The war on infringement of copyright content seems to be taking a step in the right direction in the entertainment industry and the latest development is a one female artiste Fattah who is dragging Victor Kamenyo to court over pirating her ‘Tuzina Tulumya’ song to make his new song ‘Tunyumilwa’.

Fattah, real names Nakazzi Lillian claims that Derrick Katongole commonly known as Victor Kamenyo duplicated her ‘Tuzina Tulumya’ song to create his trending song ‘Tunyumilwa’ and she is taking the matter to the courts of law if the rapper remains defiant to respect instructions sent to him by her lawyers.

Victor Kamenyo was given an ultimatum of a week by Fatta’s lawyers; Byamugisha, Lubega, Ocieng and Co. Advocates, to sort the matter outside court or they will make a tougher decision that is likely to lead the rapper into deep trouble.

The lawyers issued an intention to sue letter to Victor Kamenyo on the above allegations and urged him to go find a way of meeting Joseph Lubega, the lawyer, in order to settle the matter on personal grounds.

Failure to abide by these instructions means that Victor Kamenyo will be taken to the courts of law, and could be jailed for quite a long time.

We shall keep you updated on the matter.
