Lydia Jazmine’s first song was a duet with dancehall singer Rabadaba titled ‘You Know’. The song, released in 2014, launched fresh breath onto the very competitive Ugandan music industry.

The collaboration would then last to be a revelation of raw talents including the producer of the song, Nessim, who have dominated Ugandan music to-date.

Since then, Lydia Jazmine has never looked back and has blessed us with many hit songs including; ‘Control’, ‘Ndaga’, ‘Same Way’, ‘Cherie’, ‘Tukumbe’, ‘Nkubanja’, ‘Guno Omukwano’, ‘Drum’, among others. She has also collaborated with various artistes from across the African continent. She was also part of the Coke Studio Africa 2017.

During an interview after the Coke Studio, Lydia Jazmine said that she had learnt many aspects that help build an artiste’s career. She emphasized that image was such a big aspect of every artiste’s career and noticed the need for re-branding something she concentrated on, and she seems to be reaping the fruits this year.

2018 has been so far so good for Lydia Jazmine with the singer releasing ‘You And Me’, a collaboration with Daddy Andre. The song has already gained her nominations in different awards and it is arguably one of the best songs of the year so far in Uganda.
