Arguably one of the best actresses in the Ugandan movie industry, Leilah Nakabira has grabbed three major nominations for her role in the ‘Forbidden’ movie in the 2018 Golden Movie Awards which are slated for Saturday 2nd June and are to take place in Ghana.

For most local movies fans, Leilah Nakabira is a household name with such a big following from across Africa. The Ugandan actress, most known for her role in the movie ‘Forbidden’, is one of the few Ugandans that received a call up in the 2018 Golden Movie Awards.

The nominations were announced at an exclusive ceremony at the Palais de la culture – Treichville, in Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire and the greatly talented Leilah received three nominations all for her role in ‘The Forbidden’ movie. The nominations include;

Best Golden Actress (Drama)

Golden Most Promising Actor

Golden Discovery Actor

The Golden Movie Awards, organised by NMJ Ghana, are annual awards aimed at rewarding participants, actors and many other figures that are actively involved in movie industry across the continent. The 2018 awards are the 4th edition since their inception in 2015 and they will be televised widely across the world LIVE from the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra.
