If you talk about hip-hop music in Uganda there are a few names that take the credit for having promoted the initially ignored music genre. Mun G is one of those names. The rapper took a break from music but he has been compiling his new album, ‘Omungi Atiibwa‘, which is set to be released on 1st June.

Mungi Emmanuel Matovu a.k.a Mun G started his music journey many years ago with GNL Zamba under Baboon Forest Entertainment. He later broke away to form his own music camp named Kunta Kinte. He has blessed us with many hit songs including ‘Mbwase’, ‘Byayanga’, ‘Kyaba Too Much’, ‘Champion’, ‘Nze Namalyo, among many others.

Mun G is a learned man with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Makerere University and a family man, one of the very few Ugandan artistes living in a steady home with his wife and son. He is an inspiration in many ways to the youths.

The rapper announced the release dates of his new ‘Omungi Atiibwa’ album and he is now actively back in the music game.

The new 14 track album features a couple of many other fellow artistes and different producers including Naava Grey and Artin, among others.

Well, we cannot wait to listen to this new album because Mun G is one artiste that never disappoints.
