There is always great things coming out of unity and teamwork. That is exactly what is happening within the Wasafi Records camp. Diamond Platnumz’s record label seems to be doing all things right and has now broken viewership records on YouTube with ‘Kwangwaru’ hitting 10m views in just one month.

Bongo music over 5 years ago almost fell off the chart lists with many Tanzanian artistes giving up due to various reasons. 5 years later, it is ably dominating the airwaves all around East Africa. We can attribute it to many factors but Diamond Platnumz’s contribution surely comes top of the ladder.

The breakthrough of Chibu Dangote led to the rise of many big things including the Wasafi Record label. The record label signed up many young artistes who have now matured to takeover from their boss’ success trail.

Harmonize is one of those to have been revealed to the world through the Wasafi Records music label. His music is favorite for many Africans at the moment and his new song ‘Kwangwaru’ (featuring Diamond Platnumz) is already breaking records on YouTube less than a month after its upload.

Uploaded on 14th April, ‘Kwangwaru’ hit 5 million views in the first 20 days. It went on to double the figures within a month of release. It now becomes the first video from an East African artiste to reach such an amount of views in such a short time.
