Vanquisha Eyapu thanked everyone who has contributed to the promotion and improvement of the fashion industry from back in the days to the new generation as she walked on her last runway show together with her other comrades. She believes they built the Ugandan fashion industry.

The fashion industry in Uganda has slowly evolved from some really difficult times to today when every girl dreams of a modeling career. The facilities and systems available in the industry today have inspired many young girls to join modeling as a serious career, and even parents now have a positive outlook on the industry unlike before when it was looked at as the easiest route to moral decay of the girl child.

There are a few names that we cannot fail to mention each time we speak fashion in Uganda. It has also been made better by a few female figures who have professionalized modeling. The likes of Sylvia Owori, Judith heard, Stella Atal, Priscilla Ray, Patricia Laloyo, Stella Nankya, among others – all from the past. The new generation has its big names as well including; Gloria Wavamunno, Anita Beryl, Sham Tyra, Amito Lagum, Vanquisha Eyapu, Mirembe Sharon, among others.

With professional modeling agencies like Joram Model Management and Modeling Agency, Arapapa Modeling Agency, Cavalli Modeling Agency, among others, the fashion industry has been greatly improved – but who got it here?

To take the credit, the likes of Vanquisha Eyapu, Christine Adela, and Mirembe Sharon, have come out to make it clear that they deserve a mention for their hard work and exceptional efforts in dragging the industry from the old days to the promised land.

On Sunday, the above mentioned walked on their final runway show organized by Anita Beryl. They closed their modeling chapter at a high note and are now looking forward to emulating the same success in the next careers that their lives have settled for.

Whether they are right, or a bit over stating the facts, they have done a very commendable job for fashion and modeling and they can bow out with their heads held high. We congratulate you on a job well done, and wish you the very best of success in your new careers.
