Four months ago, we reported about how Jamaican reggae singer Tarrus Riley was Kampala bound for a concert courtesy of Muyenga based music record label, Swangz Avenue. The artiste confirmed that he will be coming to Uganda in August.
Friday 31st August 2018 will be the date when the reggae vibes will engulf Kampala as Tarrus Riley performs at Lugogo Cricket Oval in celebration of Swangz Avenue’s 10 years in the music business. The music record label has held a series of shows since last month around the country to mark a decade in business and the show at Cricket Oval will climax their celebrations.
To assure his fans and followers, Tarrus Riley sent a video of himself confirming that he will indeed be performing in Uganda next month. The singer’s music is popular in Uganda with songs like ‘Gimme Likkle One Drop’, ‘Don’t Come Back’, ‘Just The Way You Are’, among others are regular on the airwaves. Tarrus also confirmed that he will be coming with Dean Fraser, and the Blaksoil Band.
This is not the first time Tarrus Riley is being advertised to perform in Uganda after music promoters unfortunately canceled the show last year where he was slated to perform. This year however, everything is set and the artiste as well is ready to step foot in the +256.
