Uganda’s singer, actress, and performer, Cindy Sanyu was nominated in the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2018. She was nominated alongside other prominent African actresses in the Best Actress in a Drama Movie or TV Series category.
Whoever has made it to the big stages in the African movie industry will tell you how sweet it sounds to hear that your name has been listed among the nominees list in the AMVCAs. The awards are a big deal to even the very best African actors who have fortunately made it to the world stage.

Uganda’s dancehall diva will now be rubbing shoulders with the cream on the African continent on September 1st when the 6th Edition of the coveted awards will take place. The ceremony will be broadcast live on all Africa Magic channels.
Cindy who was nominated for her role in ‘Bella’ is set to tussle it out against five nominees including fellow Ugandan Agaba Joan for her role in ‘The Torture’. Keira Hewatch, Miriam Kayode, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, and Lillian Echelon (all Nigerians) are the other nominees in the same category.
The other Ugandans that received nominations in the 2018 AMVCAs include; Eleanor Nabwiiso and Mathew Nabwiiso for their roles in ‘Rain’, Kizito Samuel for his work on ‘The Forbidden’, and a few others.
Multi-tasking has never been an easy thing but Cindy has managed to excel in all the fields she is involved in. As a mother, singer, actor, and performer, Cinderella Sanyu is a role model to many females around East Africa and with these nominations coming through, she might spread her influence allover the continent.
