Frank Gashumba has every right to be a happy man right now after his adopted daughter Aisha Nabukeera graduated from Uganda Christian University in Mukono with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration.

Aisha Nabukeera grew popular at a young age of thirteen in February 2006 after she was burnt by her stepmother with a dress soaked in petrol. Her story gripped the nation which at the time had many other cases of disjointed families with many silently suffering at the hands of step-parents. It opened many people’s eyes about the issues associated with parenting.

Among those who picked up interest in the story was Sisimuka Uganda founder Frank Gashumba. The business man took over care of Aisha Nabukeera as a guardian and made her his own. He gave her a new family and fresh breath to a better life. He also took her to school, a journey that she has finally graduated from today.

Aisha Nabukeera, through her struggle to live a normal life like any other child, has been stigmatized and attacked in many other ways by media houses, blogs, and other popular personalities with an aim of hurting the motormouth Frank Gashumba.

In his congratulatory message, Frank noted that Aisha has finally made it through thick and thin and her victory is his as well. He also thanked other people that helped her in this not so smooth journey including the late Professor Mukiibi, Drake Sekeba who was a whistle blower towards the discovery of Aisha, Juliana Kanyomozi, Jose Chameleone, among others.

Frank posted;

Frank who regards Aisha as a blessing has every right to celebrate this achievement because he worked hard to raise her.

Congratulations from us to you Aisha Nabukeera, and Frank Gashumba of course.
