25 year old Brian Isiko, a student at YMCA Jinja, was served a two years in jail sentence after pleading guilty of sending sexual text messages to Kabarole district woman Member of Parliament Honorable Sylvia Rwabogo. He was charged with sexual harassment and offensive communication.

‘I love you so much’, those were the first messages Brian Isiko sent to Hon. Sylvia Rwabogo in November last year. She is probably not the first woman MP, or female to be general, that has received such messages from somebody so random.

What started as a joke then turned into a serious cyber obsession with Brian sending more messages that suggested sexual activity.

Hon. Sylvia said that she initially thought it was a ‘simple call from one of her constituents’ but was later surprised and shocked when Brian started making love confessions. This got her very worried for her life, and she says it tortured her psychologically.

The legislature then reported the matter to police at parliament who advised that she sets up a meeting with him.

Brian agreed to meet his crush and made his way to Java House, Lugogo, only to be ambushed and arrested by Hon. Rwabogo’s security personnel that had been assigned by police.

What worried the woman MP even more is that she was still receiving texts from Brian after his arrest.
