When we talk about music evolution, there are names we can never miss out on mentioning. Jose Chameleone and Mr Nice are two of East Africa’s great artistes. The two legends have a new collaboration together that is set for release anytime soon.

Jose Chameleone is credited for effecting change in the Ugandan music industry in the early 2000s. His music, lifestyle, and approach to showbiz greatly changed Ugandan music, drifting it away from the Congolese music dominance. Ugandan music was greatly influenced by Lingala music and lifestyle in the 90s and with the emergence of Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine, music was given a new face.

In Kenya and Tanzania, Mr Nice, TID, Professor Jay, Nameless, Redsan, among others, were also playing their part to make sure their influence would revolutionize music in their respective countries. Mr Nice became famous for mega hits like ‘Kikulacho’, ‘Rafiki’, ‘Fagilia’, which were favorites to many music fans around East Africa.

Mr Nice was in Uganda a few weeks ago and he met with fellow legend Jose Chameleone who took him around the city in a good gesture of hospitality. The two also found time to hit studio and record a song that we anticipate will take East Africa by surprise.

The two shared a moment which Chameleone shared on Instagram hinting about their new collaboration with a teaser of the mega song that is to be released pretty soon.

Mr Nice has been away from active music scene as he battled illnesses and financial problems. He is now stable, healthy, and energetic as before and very soon we might see the two legends perform their magic.

Who wouldn’t want that? Watch the space!
