Like Father, Like Son

Like they say, an apple does not fall far from the tree, so is true in relation to Jose Chameleone and his family’s traits. The father of five seems to be his sons’ inspiration in all ways and Alfa Mayanja could be the next in line of duty after his elder brother Abba Marcus left music for swimming.

A few years ago Jose Chameleone’s first son, Abba Marcus Mayanja a.k.a T-Rex, gave a shot at music. His song ‘Game Over’ did exceptionally well and in a few months from its release, he won a couple of awards, and young fans who actually flocked his very first show which was organised at Freedom City in December 2014.

Who is Who!

Alfa Mayanja attended the show and even performed as a backup vocalist for Abba. He must have loved the people’s reaction and despite Abba’s exit from music to concentrate on his swimming career, Alfa must have chosen to stick to music. Or has he?

Yesterday, as their little brother Amma Christian Mayanja celebrated his birthday, Jose Chameleone’s close friends were invited for a luncheon at the singer’s mansion in Seguku. It has been the norm on each of the family member’s birthday to invite friends to celebrate life together.

Amidst the celebrations, Alfa Mayanja found an opportunity to perform for the people in attendance. Guess which song he chose – ‘CHAMPION’. The ever-jolly boy sang each and every word of the song as his father cheerfully recorded the video.

By the look of things, it seems Alfa could be finally choosing music despite him also being a good swimmer just like his brother Abba. The two have performed at big stages and won some major awards and medals that some older artistes and athletes still hold as a dream.

Whichever the case, we are sure they are their father’s sons and they will be groomed by the right mentor.
