On Wednesday morning, Musician turned politician Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP) Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine , came out and spoke about how Police and Military raided Planet hotel where he had spent a night and arrested 16 of his team members.
But, he (Bobi) as a Ghetto gladiator managed to escape as he wisely fooled the law enforcement officers when he went out of bed early and only left his pillows covered in blankets.
Without even checking whether it Bobi Wine himself, the enforcement officers just stupidly rushed to handcuffing the pillows and only to be shocked when the Kyadondo legislator was being seen in Bugiri town campaigning for Jeema candidate Asumani Basalirwa, who is standing for Bugiri Municipality MP seat.
The surrounding off of candidate Asumani and Bobi Wine’s hotel were made due to a pending visit by President Museveni to Bugiri was they were to wrap up their rally’s for Friday’s by-election in Bugiri.
Their arrest came hot on the heels when National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary General Mrs Kasule Lumumba appealed to police to arrest an alleged group of people claimed to be coming from Kampala led by Bobi Wine who were reportedly said to be engaging in acts of Lawlessness within the area.
Among the 16 members that were arrested at the hotel included , renowned videographer Kim XP , photographer Tabs Ku Camera, Lukwago Ramadhan, Roy Ssemboga (former MAK Glide President), Katongole Julius, Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro (Deputy Spokesperson DP), Tumuhairwe Denis, Ssenyonjo Sheriff (my personal assistant) , Ssenyange Joseph, Njuba (driver), Counsel Ukasha Ssekajja, Andrew Natumanya, Suleiman Kakooza, Kiwanuka Kenneth and other two ladies yet to be identified.
