The crowning of Miss Tourism Queen’s from the different regions of the country will get underway today, starting with the Rwenzori Region under the theme “Sustainable Peace For Tourism”.

This comes after a month and a half of rigorous auditioning of the regions pageants across the Rwenzori region. And today will be the verdict day for the beauty Queens who will be representing the mountains of moon – Rwenzori region in Uganda and the world at large.

The crowning of the ceremony will be held at Uhuru Gardens in Kasese starting at 6pm. The ceremony will also see several performances from surprise artistes, traditional dancers , D’Stingaz and Swidz dance crew.

The handle over ceremony will be done by the incumbent Queen Doreen Biira and her 1st and 2nd runner up Queens who include Mackline Biira and Mary Immaculate Nakalema respectively.

With Rwenzori going to be the first region to be crowned, the search will continue on to other regions that will include Bunyoro, Jinja, Buganda, Karamoja and Northern among others will be crowned in subsequent events before the grand finale takes place later this year.

And here are your contestants of 2018, Biira Ruth, Kembabazi Rose, Tumusiime Christian, Muhindo Peace, Biira Peace Buhaka, Masika Gloria, Biira Doreen , Kahunde Doreen, Biira Jenifer, Biira Doreen among others will be tussling it out for the mountains of the moon regions crown.
