Ugandan socialite Judith Heard has refuted claims that she was arrested by police yesterday. The mother of three denied early reports of how she had been arrested and detained by police over her nude images that leaked in May.
Reports that circulated on Tuesday afternoon indicated how Judith Heard was arrested at around midday while taking a stroll downtown. They showed how she had been summoned twice and failed to make it to police until she was caught yesterday and taken to Central Police Station (CPS).
Judith quickly took it to her social media platforms to deny the claims that she had been arrested. In her defense, the socialite said she walked into CPS in the morning without any assistance from police as a law abiding citizen who had been summoned earlier.
Judith has been out of the country for over four months and she only returned on Thursday 26th July. Since then, she has been doing media tours in promotion of her upcoming Social Media Revolution Party which is slated for 18th August. So she had not yet found time to report to police but her lawyer kept in touch with the police until yesterday when she took herself to CPS.
She posted photos of herself sharing a light moment with Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire, just after recording her statement.
Judith Heard hit back at the reporters who claimed she had been arrested saying they are only looking for likes and comments, and the next meal but end up ruining people’s lives. She recorded a live video on Facebook to assure her fans that she was not in jail.
She thanked the Uganda Police for not complicating things for her and for following up on the case. She also promised that whoever leaked her nudes hall face the law once gotten.
