Over the weekend, the crowning of Miss Tourism Uganda  regional search shifted to the Eastern region making it the fourth region to confirm its tourism ambassadorial representatives with Safina Nabude taking the top seat, among the top three chosen ones and come October, they will represent the region at the main event that will be hosted at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

The Saturday event was held at the Semie Kakungulu Country Lodges, in Mbale with one of Uganda’s most celebrated tourism lovers and CEO Grate Lakes Safari boss Mr Amos  Wekesa, acting as the chief guest of the event.

A 21-year-old Safina Nabude Shadia from Mbale district emerged as the overall winner and was crowned as the queen of the Eastern region having well executed what was required of her despite the fact that she wasn’t the most prettiest of all, something that left a few with queen marks that were unanswered and furthermore took their disappointment on social media.

Then, Ann Trish Tamale and Hope Wataka came along as the first and second runners up respectively at a well organised event were Mr Wakese equipped the participants with skill and how to go about tourism as its a real deal that most should indulge in.

And come this weekend on the 10th , the event will be heading to Fort Portal were the crowning of the new miss tourism Queens of Tooro will take place at Aventura 2 Motel, while on the 9th of August still, the auditioning of the Buganda miss tourism Queens will take place at the Uganda Museum.
