Despite having not seen his children for quite so long, incarcerated singer and MP Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine declined his wife’s gesture to have them visit him in prison. He instead wrote letters to them, and gave his reasons.
Barbie Kyagulanyi visited her husband Bobi Wine in prison where he is being held for several days yesterday before heading to the general mass held at Rubaga Cathedral by the public to say a prayer for her husband.
She asked the authorities to let the rest of the family visit Bobi Wine and her request to have other family members including her children to visit their father was granted.
Bobi Wine however declined Barbie’s gesture to have their children visit the military prison saying his condition in prison coupled with his health is not the best sight for his children.
Bobi Wine has been under custody on treason charges since 13th August. It was also confirmed that he was badly tortured which left serious injuries and deformity.
It is on the above account that Bobi Wine refused to have the children visit but instead opted to write letters to them. He communicated to them and asked them to stay strong because God is protecting him and one day he will be free to reunite with them as family.
The imprisoned legislator also urged his children to work hard and pass their examinations, as well as to look after one another.
