Tanzanian music legend Mr Nice feared for the worst in June when he refused to perform for his fans at the Ekyepukulu concert. He said he was not paid the agreed money by promoter Abtex but he forgave him anyway.

The Ekyepukulu concert was slated for 24th June 2018 at Namboole stadium. Various artistes from Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania were booked to perform including the legendary Mr Nice.

Mr Nice, real names Lucas Mkenda, was booked and advertised to make an appearance and to perform for the mammoth crowds that gathered on the night of the event. Despite showing up at the venue, the Tanzanian however did not perform after disagreeing on the payments with the promoter of the event, Mr Abtex of Abtex Promotions.

Mr Nice says that Abtex actually disappeared shortly after seeing him and it was a very tricky situation for him since the revelers had paid their money to enjoy his performances and to dance to his music.

He feared for the worst but being the celebrity he is, revelers did not do anything to him when his management labored to explain the whole scenario. Mr Nice survived the situation unharmed but he says it was so wrong for Abtex to do such a thing to him.

The ‘Kikulacho’ singer however forgave the promoter saying he wants to put all that in the past because everyone makes mistakes.
