Team No Sleep singer Sheebah Karungi has faced the wrath of People Power fans after she condemned them for throwing objects at Bebe Cool while on stage at the recently concluded Swangz All Star Concert.
Giving an opinion today as a Ugandan celebrity is like passing through the eye of a needle. You have to be very smart and careful enough to avoid conflicting with the opinions of Bobi Wine’s fans, followers, and supporters.
We need no argument about that, we all saw what happened to Bebe Cool.
With videos still making round showing Bebe Cool being hit with bottles and other objects on stage as he performed at the Swangz All Star Concert on Friday 31st August 2018, the few artistes that have come out to condemn the act have been roasted especially on social media.
The latest victim is Sheebah Karungi who made a long post on her social media platforms condemning the people’s act of throwing bottles at Bebe Cool and forcing him off stage just because of his opinions.
Sheebah asked fans to stay open minded and to respect people’s opinion. She also stressed the point that violence should never be an option. Her post however irked many the wrong way and they were seen commenting with abusive language as some threatened to even boycott her upcoming shows.
Apologetically, Sheebah Karungi decided to delete the post after realizing that people were not in for her advice. She later replaced it with another one explaining why she had stated her opinion and that people had unfortunately misunderstood her.
That could be the smartest thing she has done lately. Being a celebrity is a hard thing right now, please tread carefully!
