He might be in USA receiving medical attention to enable him recover from injuries sustained from torture but Bobi Wine is one of the top 100 most influential young Africans according to Africa Youth Awards 2018.

The list includes other top African influential figures with political figures, sports personalities, media personalities, artistes, and other celebrities from different professions from 26 countries across the African continent.

With the 100 names of arranged in alphabetical order, the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine sits in number 78. The list also has other Ugandans including Humphrey Nabimanya, and Kevin Lubega.

The annual prestigious list which was launched in 2016 and currently in its third year features young politicians, activists, entrepreneurs, entertainers, digital influencers, philanthropists & athletes across 10 distinct categories who are blazing various trails and promoting the positive image of Africa across the globe.

Accordint to the awards’ website, the most notable among the 2018 honorees are Uganda’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu  (Bobi Wine), Togo’s Farida Bemba Nabourema, Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Nigeria’s Davido, Guinea’s ABD Traore, Kenya’s  Xtian Dela, South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest and Tanzania’s Alikiba.

Well, at least that can give something to smile about for Bobi Wine’s fans.
