Major Lazer, who will be performing in Uganda come 8th October 2018, have released their new Afrobeats Mix compilation album which features various African acts.
The American electronic dance music deejay trio has in the past worked on singles and remixes with different global music icons. Their rise to fame has been largely contributed to by collaborations with the big stars.
A few years ago they embarked on the African project and their ‘Particula’ collaboration with Jidenna, Patoranking, Ice Prince, DJ Maphorisa, and Nasty C became an instant hit globally. The song won various African awards and it was arguably the best collaboration on the continent in 2017.
‘Particula’ is one of the songs on this new Afrobeats Mix compilation album which was released on 12th September 2018. It features top African acts including the above mentioned, plus South Africa’s Babes Wodumo, Kenya’s Sauti Sol, Nigeria’s Davido, Kizz Daniel, Niniola, Skales, and Burna Boy.

Major Lazer comprising of Jillionaire, Diplo, and Walshy Fire will be performing at the ‘Refresh Your Beat with Major Lazer Sound System’ concert on 8th October 2018. The event is sponsored and organised by Club Pilsener and tickets are already on sale online.
