Using Asphyxiation, 540mg of Diazepam and alcohol, a Makerere University final year student identified as Joshua Ajuna ended his own life leaving behind a suicidal note.

In his fourth and final year at campus, Joshua Ajuna did the unthinkable and committed suicide on Saturday 15th September 2018 using overdose. He has been a student of Forestry at the Kampala based university.

Reportedly, in the suicidal note left, Joshua indicated that he was choosing to leave this world due to ‘personal reasons’.

His lifeless body was found by his roommate who was returning to campus after a weekend away. He made an alarm on finding his roommate’s body lying lifeless, gathering fellow students at his room of residence (69) in Nsibirwa Hall.

He is not the first case of suicide at the university after several cases have been reported before citing depression, financial struggles, among other reasons.
