Celebrated dancehall singer Cindy Sanyu shed tears before court after she narrowly survived prison.
The self-styled the King Herself was on Wednesday facing before the Nakawa Court judge on matters related to having faulted events promoters during the 2017 Christmas festive season.
According to promoters who dragged Cindy to court alleged that they had booked and paid the ‘Onina’ singer to perform in Northern Uganda during the festive season but the singer ended up not turning for any shows.
The promoters urged that her not turning up for shows after rigorous adverts that ran and attracted many revelers for the shows saw their property in particular chairs and other items damaged as fans demanded for her appearance.
As a result she had even refused to refund their money. So, after several attempts of reaching her all went in vain, they then decided to legalize the matters, fortunately enough court judged that she should pay a sum of twelve (12) million shillings but out of prison.
After the judgement Cindy was seen weeping as of now we wait to see what next for the dancehall singer.
