Singer Eddy Kenzo cheated police arrest by the skin of his teeth after chanting the ‘People Power’ slogan yesterday at Gravity Omutujju’s concert.
Prior to the show, police had warned artistes not to mix politics in music of which some musicians did, but for Eddy Kenzo’s love and support to Bobi Wine’s slogan could not control his feelings and mouth respectively.
Therefore, through midway of his performance Kenzo let the cat out of the bag and dropped the restricted slogan that forced police to tip toe him immediately after performing.
I know we all want to go forward because we are in a struggle but avoid street protests
Kenzo began
I don’t fear saying this if they want to imprison me let me do. Power Power… Our Power.
He added
After completing the slogan Kenzo dropped down the mic like hot potato and vanished through thin air amidst the crowd after learning that police was eagerly waiting for him backstage.
However other reports indicate that he was later caught and taken to Jinja Road police station where he was questioned several questions, which has forced him take to his social media pages saying yesterday was a movie night.
