A movie directed by African Academy nominee director Kizito Samuel Saviour, ‘The Forbidden’ continues to prosper in foreign lands with more nominations in the 2018 Zulu African Film Academy Awards (ZAFAA)

Since its release, ‘The Forbidden’ has been one of the best selling Ugandan movies this year. Trending for the message it passes onto the viewers, the movie has inspired various people making it one of the favorites for most African movies lovers.

From inspiring local schools and communities in Uganda, the movie goes on to expose Ugandan actors who have grabbed nominations in the United Kingdom based ZAFAA 2018 Awards.

Zafaa Global Awards is an annual event that stands shoulder to shoulder with other reputable foreign awards such as the American OSCAR, the British BAFTA, and Indian BOLLYWOOD Movie Awards.

It recognises African filmmakers, actors and other contributing personalities in the Diaspora. ZAFAA aims at promoting African movies and culture, as well as complimenting African artists with their foreign counterparts.

BEST PRODUCER – Nampala Claire

BEST DIRECTOR – Kizito Samuel Saviour

BEST ACTOR FEMALE – Leilah Nakabira

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR FEMALE – Nodryn Evanci
