An African anthem? Well, you can say that again. South African rapper Rouge, Producer DJ Maphorisa, A Pass, and Fik Fameica are all on this new song titled ‘Midnight Drum’.

Add up DJ Maphorisa’s beats, Rouge’s raps, Fik Fameica’s lazy flow, and A Pass’ playful self. All points to one result – TOP QUALITY!

Fik Fameica actually raps a bit faster on this song. His lyrics have never disappointed in the aspect that they are catchy and yet easy to master, even after listening to the song for the very first time.

Rouge, the lesser known artiste on the song at least to a Ugandan point of view, brings her A-game on and easily fits in the song with her fast flow. A Pass eases up the flow of the game with a much slower flow.

What captured our attention are the beats. House music that you can play at anytime to get your moods ignited. Kudos to DJ Maphorisa, and the entire crew behind the production of the song.

‘Midnight Drum’ was earlier recorded sometime in April at the Muyenga based Swangz Avenue studios but it was remade with the inclusion of DJ Maphorisa and we can say it was such a wise idea.

With the video confirmed to be coming out in the first weeks of October, we anticipate such a mega project out of this.
