Captain Mike Mukula has made up his mind and come up with a final decision of relocating his aircraft’s to Kenya, this website has learnt.
Mr Mukula made the announcement official when he took to his twitter handle and pointed out the reasons why he had come up with the decision.
According to his tweet, he stressed that after being tossed up and down for a couple of months by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) just to obtain an AOC he felt tired and frustrated of which Kenya issued within a period of one week.
Mike Mukula’s tweet read
I have finally taken a decision to relocate all our aircraft’s to KENYA
having been frustrated by Uganda CAA to obtain an AOC . Kenya issued it in one week. This equipment has been on the ground for over 3 years. Fully maintained and paying parking fees #Systemfailure
Mr Mukula went ahead and noted that he just took a decision based on simple business sense income versus expenditure when he was questioned about his patriotism about Uganda as drew a few examples in defense of his decision.
In his example he imagined if he had borrowed money from a bank and had to pay interest for the past three years that by now he would have collapsed.
He concluded by saying Aga Khan lost over 100 million US dollars over Air Uganda.
