What caused South African rapper HHP’s death?

Renowned South African rapper Hip Hop Pantsula a.k.a HHP died on Wednesday 24th October 2018 in Johannesburg. Many reports attach his death to several years of depression and continued suicide attempts.

It’s the close friends who always know what we go through in our daily lives.

Those close to Jabulani Tsambo commonly known as HHP have revealed how he often spoke about his feelings of hopelessness and how he felt his life was passing him by a few days to his death.

It is also reported that the 38 year old rapper took his own life in his bedroom at his Johannesburg home.

He has always revealed how he survived 3 attempts of suicide with one in which he said he was doing it because the hip-hop genre had lost focus.

During an interview on CliffCentral two years ago, HHP  admitted to attempting suicide three times in 2015 and that he had visited an online suicide website in an attempt to help him get information on how to end his life.

HHP is regarded a Hip-Hop legend in Africa

The hip-hop star’s body was reportedly discovered in his room by his helper.

At the time of his death, HHP was survived by his wife, his parents, two sisters, a son, and a nephew.

Most Ugandans came to know about HHP when he put up stiff competition against their own Jose Chameleone during the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards in the ‘MAMA Evolution’ category which had other music legends like 2Face Idibia, Anselmo Ralph, Asa, Black Coffee, D’Banj, Fally Ipupa, P Square, and Samini.
