Because his team walked away with the top prize, legendary singer Jose Chameleone could not hide his excitement as he made his way onto the podium to celebrate with Ssingo FC at the 2018 Masaza Cup final.

The Masaza Cup final is one of the most anticipated for sports events in the Buganda region every year.

The annual prestigious football tournament is organized by the Buganda Kingdom as 18 counties are represented by their selected teams with an aim of promoting the sport and nurturing talent, bringing people together, and creating employment opportunities.

This year’s final was graced by the top two teams in Ssingo FC and Buddu FC who played an exciting match that was graced by the public and the top officials in the kingdom.

Kabaka Ronald Edward Frederick Kimera Muwenda Mutebi II was present and he watched the entire action of the game in company of his subjects.

Several other popular figures were also seen at the event including Jose Chameleone who took the opportunity to show which side he belonged to.

Dressed in a Kanzu, the self-proclaimed Legend, Joseph Mayanja a.k.a Jose Chameleone was seen at the earlier stages of the event making his way to the stands.

Having been born in Mityana, his county Ssingo was in action and he rallied behind his team all the way to the final whistle as Ssingo FC won over Buddu FC in a 12-11 penalty triumph.

The singer was quick to make his way onto the pitch as he celebrated with the Ssingo FC players. He was seen handing over his coat to the goalkeeper who made a few saves to ensure his team wins the coveted trophy.

He also made his way onto the podium as the Kabaka handed over the trophy to the eventual winners, and he used the opportunity to shake the King’s hands.

His music was also heard being played in the stadium as fans sang along to celebrate victory.
