‘A Kalabanda Ate My Homework’ selected in two film festivals

By far A kalabanda Ate My Homework is the best short animation film that  has happened to Uganda in terms of animation creativity.

Fast forward, the six minute film has yet again been selected at the
Reanimania Art Festival in Yerevan in Armenia.

The Armenia selection is the movies second nod in just a space of three days after the film was nominated in South Africa for the Fupitoons Festival in Johannesburg.

The short film clearly brings out a story about a mythical creature a ‘Kalabanda’ in Uganda that is rumored to have been for long giving pupils sleepless nights and one day a pupil (Tendo) shows up to class without homework, claiming that a ‘Kalabanda’ ate it.

The short film saw a couple of Uganda’s finest comedy stars feature in it including stars as; Patrick ‘Salvador’ Idringi, Daniel Omara, Faith Kisa and Martha ‘Kay’ Kigamba.
