Cristiano Ronaldo, the Juventus Football Club forward is now the most followed celebrity on Instagram having surpassed famous songstress Selena Gomez.
In Uganda, we have several people that have gained the famous tagline through social media. Some are even categorized as Instagram slay queens/kings.
The likes of Sheilah Parker, Bettinah Tianah, Nana Weber, Jamila Akaserengait, Luganda Eve a.k.a Unapologetic Eve, not to forget Zari Hassan (the queen slayer) who boasts over 4.5 million followers, among several others.
Globally, the likes of Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Taylor Swift, among others still top the list.
You must notice that there are more women that men on the list, it should be for the most obvious reasons but then why is it Cristiano with the most followers now?
The former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronlado now owns the crown with over 144 million followers on his Instagram account.
If it matters to anyone, his football rival Lionel Messi still lingers in a slightly lower league as per the issue in contention with just 100 million followers.
Does this make the Ronaldo fans feel any better? We hope so.
