When the Kampala Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga proposed that tithe should be collected off people’s salary by the government on behalf of the church, it raised a few eyebrows including singer Allan Toniks’.

On Sunday 28th October 2018, Archbishop Kizito Lwanga made his opinions aware about how better church can fund its projects through the tithe collected from its members.

The man of God suggested that the government should deduct tithe money from people’s salaries and effectively donate it to the church in order to smooth run the church’s projects.

This caused mixed reactions from the general public and Allan Ampeire a.k.a Allan Toniks has his guns out blazing towards the Catholic Church leaders whom he has equated to ‘false prophets’.

According to Toniks, this could be a money making scheme only aimed at making these men of God rich in what he terms as a ‘Commercial Religion’.

What do you think about Toniks’ opinion?
