Jesse M Sekatawa a.k.a Jesse10s is a Ugandan rapper, singer, and record producer based in Washington DC, USA. He was born on February 3rd 1996 in Kampala Uganda.
His music features a unique blend of; deep melody, groovy EDM, Afro-beats, harmonious voice, and inspirational lyrics.
Music for Jesse came as a blessing in disguise as he was on the way to become a professional soccer player but a unique twist in events saw him switch to focusing on music in 2013.
He gained more interest in the later years and started taking production classes off YouTube as he mastered his craft.
Jesse’s rise onto the active music scene came off his late 2017 and early 2018 debut singles; Your Love, Never Let Go (feat. Lulu K), and What A Feeling (feat. Smart Keyz).
The latter charted at number 60, 55, and 20 on the DMV top-60 Singles Chart respectively. It also hit a record high 2,469,856 plays on SoundCloud and several other music streaming sites.
He later went on to release his first ever studio album “Hope & Restoration”, released on July 26th 2018 with hits like Born Again, Brokenness, and collaborations with Exodus Ug, Smart Keyz, and Akanji.
Jesse is also known for his humanitarian work through the Sekatawa Foundation; a non-profit program he commenced in May 2016 as a platform for the youth to spread good vibes and inspire lives of young adults through music, soccer, and performing arts.
He is currently working on extending his influence in Africa. He dreams of the day he will be one of the most popular artistes on the continent but what is his strategy getting there?
He is compiling a couple of projects; music and good videos, some off his first album (Hope & Restoration) as he works on his next album on which he intends to work with several top African acts.
For the dreams rushing through Jesse10s’ mind, and the zeal to achieve all he can, the sky is not the limit but just a point of view for Uganda’s next big thing.
