While appearing on a radio interview today morning, legendary Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone urged upcoming artistes to rise up and use the opportunities he provided to do better.
Joseph Mayanja a.k.a Jose Chameleone has been a household name in the music business in Uganda, and East Africa as a whole, for almost two decades.
His music and influence has inspired the nurturing of new artistes who are never shy to say it that they indeed used his inspiration to join the industry.

Despite Uganda having several upcoming musicians, with some who have made it to the big stages, Jose Chameleone believes that they have not done enough.
He also wonders why younger artistes have failed to utilize the opportunities the legends paved way for available to soar above the ranks.
“Much respect to all upcoming artistes. We have all been at that stage at one point in our careers but the challenges you’ve met are different from the one we met. We had to look for our own opportunities but today these find you where you’re seated. We didn’t have the same chances so upcoming artistes have to become more serious. You’re so lucky that you found the opportunities we set for you.”

Well, does he have a point?
